Chiropractic

Chiropractors use a variety of techniques to reduce pain and improve function, not only of your spine but on any other affected joints. The emphasis is on non-invasive soft tissue techniques, including acupuncture, as well as spinal manipulation, joint mobilisation and a variety of specific rehabilitation advice and exercise prescription.

I graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic with a masters qualification after developing a passion for healthcare following numerous injuries I sustained whilst playing rugby. The impact of high-quality care genuinely amazed me, as it allowed me to pursue other sporting ventures such as rowing, mountain biking, skiing and weightlifting with higher levels of confidence in my physical health but most importantly, pain free! This inspired me to become a Chiropractor so I too can provide this type of impact on people’s lives.

Originally from a small seaside village in Ceredigion I take pride in my Welsh speaking abilities, please don’t hesitate to say ‘shwmae’ if you do too! Relocating to Swansea has allowed me to treat a broad range of patients, to assist this, I have completed numerous post-graduate training including acupuncture and sport taping. This increases the amount of treatment options available to each patient which allows me to create a specific treatment plan suitable for you.

I remain to be a massive advocate for rehabilitation, and look forward to helping you achieve your goals.

Originally from Swansea, I have lived in several areas of the UK and now find myself back home in Wales. After a long career in accounting, and the related back pain associated with a desk job, I trained as a level 4 massage therapist with the acclaimed Bristol College of Massage and bodyworks. Providing deep tissue relaxation massage, I can work with a variety of issues, from depression and stress related symptoms, sciatica, sports and soft tissue injuries to digestive issues, oedema and joint pain, to name a few. I have a special interest in pregnancy and am a qualified National Childbirth Trust teacher. I have three adult children and live in Carmarthenshire, where my hobbies include walking the dog, fishing, wild swimming and yoga. I am a great believer in the power of meditation and regularly attend sound bath meditations in Swansea.
